Discover new artists with our new season of up close and personal gigs in the Living Room

Spencer Booth is a singer, pianist, and songwriter whose work sits at the fascinating intersection of sophisticated harmony, pop sensibilities, and neo-soul warmth. Though grounded in the rich, complex voicings of jazz, Spencer’s music sidesteps rigid genre boundaries. By applying advanced harmonic colors to accessible, melody-driven songwriting - leaning heavily into evocative ballads and soulful grooves - the result is a sound that feels both intellectually engaging and deeply inviting.

Having spent the last six to seven years steadily honing a distinct artistic voice, Spencer’s live performances are defined by intimacy and emotional depth. Rather than playing to the typical high-energy expectations of a loud venue, his shows offer a captivating, unhurried space where the nuances of every chord progression and lyric can truly resonate with the room.

Born in Hull and raised in Bath before building the foundation of his career in Grimsby, Spencer’s musical journey has been shaped by diverse environments. Now based near London as of August 2026, he brings a fresh perspective and a refined, contemporary approach to the stage - making him an essential listen for fans of sophisticated modern songwriting and soulful storytelling.
