This Autumn, boys and girls aged 6-13 are invited to join the choristers of HT Guildford for an afternoon of singing and games

On Sundays this Autumn, boys (15th November) and girls (8th November) aged 6-13 are invited to join the choristers of Holy Trinity Guildford, for a special afternoon of musical fun. Each event runs from 4-7 in Holy Trinity Church, including a performance at 6pm. The young people will get the opportunity to:

Sing with the current choir

Play singing and theory games

Try on robes and medals

Learn about the organ

Perform for their friends and family in a special service of evensong at 6pm

The event is completely free to children, though places must be booked in advance. There is also a short talk for parents/guardians before a evensong at 6pm, at 5.45pm, to introduce the choir, and the training children receive as part of it.

Choristers at Holy Trinity

The Holy Trinity choristers sing for rehearsals on Thursday each week, and services each Sunday (alternating between morning and evening). In being part of the choir, choristers receive:

A free musical education, including singing lessons

Improved self-confidence and discipline by leading from a young age

Pocket money for their commitment to the choir

They also get to sing in amazing buildings with a new community of friends each week, participating in Christmas Carol Services, Civic Services for the Mayor, trips to major Cathedrals, and even radio recordings. There is no cost and no auditions, we just ask for enthusiasm and commitment to this amazing choir.
