About This Event

The Blackdown Hill Challenge Junior will be held at The Pavilion in Alton on Sunday 18 October 2026, presenting two fell race distances for younger runners: a 5km route and a 2km route through the foothills of Blackdown. Competitors may enter individually or represent their school in the team event, which requires a mixed team of six pupils. Separate categories are provided for primary and secondary schools, ensuring fair competition across age groups. The races welcome a broad range of ages and abilities, with the undulating terrain offering a genuine test of endurance and pace.
