Memoirs of a Desert Rat with Virginia Morris. Featuring readings by Madeline Smith.

Join us for a remarkable afternoon with author Virginia Morris as she discusses her new book, Memoirs of a Desert Rat.

Drawing on the experiences of her father, the memoir offers a vivid and deeply personal account of service with the famed Desert Rats during the Second World War. Through memories of life in the North African campaign, wartime friendships, courage under fire and the lasting impact of conflict, the book brings an important chapter of history to life through one man's eyes.

Acclaimed actress Madeline Smith will read selected extracts from the book, bringing the author's words and wartime experiences vividly off the page.

Following the discussion and readings, there will be an opportunity for audience questions and book signing.
