CREATE & BLOOM WORKSHOPS

Create Your Own Concertina SketchbookA Creative Workshop Exploring Colour and Mixed Media

Spend a relaxed afternoon exploring your creativity with artist and tutor Liz Harvey.

In this hands-on workshop, you'll create your own concertina sketchbook, experimenting with colour, mark-making and mixed media techniques. It's an opportunity to slow down, try something new and enjoy some time making art in a friendly, welcoming setting.

What will we do?

Liz will guide you through creating your own concertina sketchbook, introducing techniques to help you explore colour, mark-making and mixed media.

You'll have the opportunity to experiment with different materials and approaches, developing your own ideas as you create a sketchbook that's uniquely yours.

All materials will be provided, so there's nothing you need to bring apart from yourself!

Make it your own

This workshop is suitable for all levels of experience, and beginners are very welcome.

You don't need to be confident at drawing or painting, or have a particular idea in mind. Liz will offer guidance throughout, giving you the freedom to experiment and find an approach that feels right for you.

Whether you already enjoy making art or simply fancy trying something different, this is a chance to enjoy the process without worrying about getting things perfect.

Who is it for?

Anyone who would enjoy some calm, creative time and the opportunity to explore art materials in a relaxed setting.

You don't need any previous experience or special skills. Just come along, try something new and see what you create!

Places are limited to 12 participants.

Meet your facilitator

Liz Harvey is a North Yorkshire fine artist, specialising in painting, drawing and mixed media works. Inspiration comes from her environment; landscape and light have the biggest impact on the work she produces and she is interested in exploring the sensations of nature, through subtle changes of colour and tone within her work.
