Hyphae Collective invite poets, musicians and singers to experiment and collaborate with our house band – let’s see what mycelial magic we can weave together. Bring your instruments and your words; whether they be your own, someone else’s or, even better, improvised! The vibe: The Hyphae jam is a place where those who tell stories with words or stories with sound get to play together. A place where we descend into a hell poem loop that is exited via a performance of the J’Adore Dior advert (2004). A place where the soundtrack is constantly reinvented and always slaps. A place where we improvise poetic conversations that were never expected. A cooking pot for our collective madness – it is delicious. Practical bits: The jam is on the third Thursday of each month at 7pm, at Barnaby’s Lounge in Hastings. It’s free and unticketed (though tips are welcomed).
