A scenic run starting from the Bewl Water Visitor Centre and following the Bewl round the reservoir route. All four courses are run on a combination of undulating rural wooded trail and along some quiet country lanes, with lovely views of the lake for most of the route. This is one of the most scenic events I stage in the High Weald Kent Countryside around the largest reservoir in the South East of England and it attracts both novice and experienced runners, with a multi-national field represented.

Description - Bewl 50km Ultra Marathon / Marathon, Half Marathon & 10km.

The ultra marathon, marathon, half and 10km for this race series are held in bi-annually and take place at the Bewl reservoir which is located at Lamberhurst, Kent in the heart of the Kent / Sussex countryside.The location for this series is set within 1000 acres of the picturesque Kent and Sussex countryside and these trail races follow the clockwise round the reservoir route at Bewl Water Country Park which is the largest lake in South East England.The routes are mainly off road and there are lovely views all around Bewl Water as you run through the forested areas and open countryside surrounding the lake.

Routes / Timings:

The Bewl Water routes for all four course distances vary, these run-routes all start and finish right beside the main Bewl Water Visitor Centre.

Bewl Water Ultra 50km / 31.25mile (8.30am start) – clockwise route is 2 x12.4 mile loops of Bewl followed by a final loop of 6.45miles (8.00hr time limit)

Bewl Water Marathon 26.2 mile (9.00am start) – is an out / back 1.4 mile loop, then a clockwise route 2 x12.4 mile loops of Bewl (7.15hrs time limit)

Bewl Water Half Marathon 13.1 mile (9.30am start) – is an out / back 0.7 mile loop, then a clockwise 1 x 12.4 mile loop of Bewl (6hrs time limit)

Bewl Water 10km (10.00am start) – this will be an out / back 6.25 mile run-route, the turnaround point will be well marshalled (2.5hrs time limit)
