Can your little eco-warriors help save the mermaid’s river and find her best friend, Otter?

Author, adventurer and real-life mermaid Lindsey Cole has swum many of Britain’s rivers and seas in her mermaid tail, towing a big poo sculpture, to get people talking about sewage pollution and why our rivers need protecting.

As seen at Edinburgh Fringe, Glastonbury and hundreds of schools across the country, now Lindsey's bestselling children’s book, The Mermaid, the Otter and the Big Poo, is splashing off the page and coming to the banks of the River Wye!

With songs, silliness, improv and lots of audience participation, children become part of the adventure as they help Mermaid search for her Otter, discover what’s gone wrong with their river and work out how they can help save it.

Expect plenty of laughs, a rather large poo, and a fun, hopeful adventure about just how brilliant and precious our rivers are.

Tell your friends. Come in fancy dress. Bring a blanket if you don't want to get a grassy bottom and be prepared to help the mermaid find Otter and save their river.

You'll also get an opportunity to buy a signed copy of Lindsey's books and pin badges and stickers.

Tickets:

Tickets are £5 per child, with a pay-what-you-can option for families who genuinely need it. Your ticket helps Lindsey cover the costs of putting on these shows, developing it and enables her to keep bringing affordable, independent family theatre to more communities.

The event will have to be cancelled if less than 10 tickets are booked, so if you do intend to come please do book your place rather than turning up on the day, to avoid disappointment.

As this is an outdoor show, please check your emails two hours before the performance in case the Great British weather means we unfortunately have to cancel.
