We are delighted to have Nick coming to grace the stage of the Old Brewery Room at the Barrels. We at Weirdshire are longstanding Shovel Dance Collective superfans, and still cherish their Weirdshire show back in July 2021. And amidst all the excitement around the development of the collective, Nick has also been working on a solo album, the brilliantly titled "My Heart is Running Backwards! A Martial Artist! With a Closed Fist! Woof!" which is simply extraordinary, combining all kinds of influences, from traditional song, music hall, Richard Dawson-style contemporary song and Incredible String Band style whimsey. And all played on pump organ, violin, and delivered with Nick's powerful and sensitive singing.
