Join ranger Morvern on this Super Sunday!!

We are delighted to be working with Chiltern Railways and bringing biodiversity and colour to Saunderton Station.

Transport & Address:

Meet us on site at the train station car park at 10am. Pay and display parking is available here. The address is Saunderton station, Slough Lane, Saunderton, Buckinghamshire, HP14 4LJ. Look out for our truck.

Please can we ask everyone to arrive on time to ensure you do not miss the health & safety and task briefing. If you are late and the session has already started, you may not be able to join. Thank you.

The Task:

Today we will be planting a new native hedgerow to provide connectivity, food and shelter for the local wildlife. Hedgerows have many other benefits including soil protection and reducing pollution. There will also be other equally exciting jobs throughout the morning.

Timings (please note these timings are approximate):

10.00: Arrival for safety briefing and start work, please don't be late!

11.30: Tea & coffee break

13.00: Work finishes, time to go home! Thanks for your support

Access:

The train station is on flat ground and accessible to all.

What to bring:

Please bring your gloves (we will have spares) and dress for the weather and the task.

Long trousers are advisable as there may be ticks and thorny vegetation. We also recommend wearing wellington boots as you may need to walk through boggy ground.

Wear layers that you can remove if you get hot whilst working. Bring a waterproof as most of our sites have no shelter from the rain. If it's sunny bring a hat and suncream.

Please bring plenty of fluids. We will bring a tea kit and biscuits.

Please note:

Biscuits are served at all Chiltern Rangers sessions. Please advise if you have an allergy.

Sometimes there is a need for us to use power tools that can be noisy.

We love encouraging children and young people to get involved in our activities. However, we do not provide childcare and children must be closely supervised due to the nature of our outdoor work.
