Forest School session aimed at 1-10 year olds with a Halloween twist!

Step into a world of Halloween magic and spooky adventure! 🎃

Join us for a spooktacular outdoor adventure inspired by our popular Kids Go Wild Forest School sessions, with a haunting Halloween twist.

During this immersive woodland experience, children will have the chance to explore, create, and discover as they:

Brew magical witch's potions using natural ingredients

Search the camp to find all the creepy Halloween characters hiding among the trees

Create a fun Halloween-themed craft to take home

Gather around the campfire to cook delicious fireside apple bites

Halloween fancy dress is encouraged, so don't forget to come in your spookiest costume! 🎃🕸️

Bring your best Halloween spirit, a sense of adventure, and plenty of imagination. This fang-tastic woodland experience is sure to be full of magical memories, seasonal fun, and autumnal delights for the whole family! 🎃🍂🔥👻

There will also be lots of other things to get involved in including the mud kitchen, tool use, bug hunting and more. We will go ahead in most weathers so please bring suitable clothing and expect to get a little messy.

Crafts and activities (including tool use) in this session are designed with older children within the 2-10 age bracket in mind, however we also have the same activities out that we include for our Tots Go Wild (toddler) sessions, so that younger siblings can still come along and enjoy. A ticket is needed for all children taking part. All children must be accompanied by a responsible adult for the duration of the session.

Activities should always be child-led with the children being encouraged to choose what they would like to do to help them build on their self-esteem, confidence and independence.

Please be aware during school holidays the car parks can become extremely busy so ensure you arrive with plenty of time to park up.

Please note we only have a fire October through to May, weather & safety permitting.

Meeting point

Black Pines Camp (behind the picnic area, Foxley Copse). Just follow the blue butterfly signs anti-clockwise around the lake from the car park - it is about a 20 minute walk for little legs. Cancellation Policy

Cancellation with the expectation of a refund or ticket transfer for a session must be made at least 7 days before the start of the booked-for session. Eventbrite fees are not refunded. Unfortunately, refunds are not applicable for no shows, illness or not being able to attend. Refunds will also be made in the event we cancel the session for example due to unsafe weather conditions/staff sickness.

FAQs

Are there ID or minimum age requirements to enter the event?

Aimed at 2-10 year olds. As soon as they can walk independently they are welcome - all children attending are required to book a ticket. All children must be accompanied by a responsible adult for the duration of the session.

Do I need to pay for a younger sibling to attend?

Younger siblings/babies are welcome to attend without a ticket, however when they are old enough to walk independently & partake in the activities we would ask you to book a place.

Do adults need to book a ticket?

All children must be accompanied by a responsible adult for the duration of the session. Adults do not need to book a ticket and you're welcome to bring addtional parents or carers with you.

Can I bring a dog to the event?

Black Pines Camp is a 'No Dogs Allowed' area so unfortunately dogs are not permitted to attend the event.

What are my transport/parking options for getting to and from the event?

Black Park has a Pay and Park Public Car Park located off Black Park Road (SL3 6DS). Car parking charges will always apply unless specifically stated; you can check charges on our website.

Can I take photos?

You are very welcome to take photos and videos of the children in your care at our Forest School events. Please do not take photographs, videos or post content online that has other children (or adults) in, without asking their permission. Buckinghamshire Country Parks sometimes post images and videos of our events online, but we always ask your permission beforehand. We want attendees to feel comfortable either way, so you can specify your preferences on our order form at the point of purchase.

What can I bring into the event?

Please bring drinks and any snacks required for the duration of the event. We encourage you to bring your own hand sanitiser, however there will be some available in Black Pines Camp. Please wear suitable clothing and sturdy footwear - the woodlands can be very muddy and uneven. This also applies to all adults and children attending! Follow the guidance/kit list which will be sent to you in your confirmation email.
