Dr Charles Alessi and Patrick Johnson speak almost exclusively at medical conferences. On Wednesday 4 November, Miss Sherina Balaratnam brings them to Cliveden House for a rare public conversation on the science of staying well for longer. Each works on a different half of that question.

Dr Charles Alessi, Chief Medical Officer of Nightingale Health UK, covers the first half: knowing where you stand. He introduces the Nightingale Health Check, which S-Thetics launches on the day. From a single blood sample, it gives an early picture of long-term health risks, years before most of us would think to ask.

Patrick Johnson, founder and inventor of Celluma and Executive Chairperson of its board, covers the second: what the body's own cells can do to repair and renew, and how specific wavelengths of light work to support them. He returns to Cliveden, where in April he and Miss Balaratnam launched Celluma MYSTIQUE for the UK and Europe. MYSTIQUE is now in stock.

Before lunch, Miss Balaratnam introduces the S-Thetics membership, which brings both halves together: Nightingale diagnostics, Celluma and regular reviews with her, in one year-long plan. The setting

Cliveden House stands in 376 acres of National Trust gardens above the River Thames, and has hosted royalty, prime ministers and a good deal of British history. The event takes place in the French Dining Room, a gilded, chandelier-lit room panelled with eighteenth-century boiseries brought from a French château.

Miss Sherina Balaratnam MBBS MRCS(Edin) MSc(UCL) is the founder and Medical Director of S-Thetics Clinic in Beaconsfield. A doctor for more than 26 years, she spent seven in NHS reconstructive plastic surgery and burns before specialising in aesthetic medicine, which she has practised for 16 years.

She was voted Top UK Aesthetic Doctor by her peers at the Aesthetics Awards. S-Thetics is recognised in the Tatler Beauty & Cosmetic Surgery Guide 2026 as the UK's leading regenerative aesthetics clinic, and Miss Balaratnam is a Global Key Opinion Leader for BTL Aesthetics and a member of its global advisory board.

About Dr Charles Alessi

Dr Charles Alessi is Chief Medical Officer of Nightingale Health UK and a physician with more than 35 years in clinical practice and health policy in the UK and internationally.

He has been Senior Adviser to Public Health England and Chairman of the National Association of Primary Care, served on World Health Organization expert panels on neurosciences and dementia risk reduction, and was Global Chief Clinical Officer at HIMSS.

He has spent much of his career arguing that healthcare should move from treating illness to preventing it.

About the Nightingale Health Check

Nightingale Health, founded in Finland, has developed a blood test that gives an early picture of risk across a range of chronic diseases from one sample. Its technology is used in UK Biobank and is backed by more than 600 peer-reviewed publications.

About Patrick Johnson and Celluma
