The Sacred Drum Birthing Day is scheduled for 25 October 2026 at Penn Street Village Hall in High Wycombe. Participants will create their own drums in a workshop setting, with a ticket price of £298.64.
Feel called to make your very own drum?
A day to slow down, to tune in & to create something deeply meaningful with your hands & spirit.
Your drum will carry your intentions, your story, and your rhythm ~ something to return to long after the day has ended.
What to expect
You will:
🌀Connect intuitively with a selection of hoops and hides
🌀Honour the spirit of the materials and the life they carry
🌀Birth your own sacred drum and beater
🌀Take part in meditation and gentle ceremonial space
We will also co-create a communal ceremonial altar, so please do bring anything you wish to honour the space with, or be honoured by the space.
These items can be symbolic, meaningful, functional, memorabilia, energetic… trust what nudges you get on what to bring. You will take your items home with you again at the end of the day.
You dont need any prior experience and all essential materials are provided.
What to bring:
– A journal (optional, for reflection)
– A foraged stick for your drum beater. Approximately a thumbs width/thickness and elbow to wrist in length. Solid, not brittle. Give it a good whack against a tree to check it is sturdy enough. I will have some spares with me on the day.
– An old towel or similar that you don’t mind getting dirty and wet.
– Any meaningful items, stones, featrhers or objects you may wish to incorporate into your drum. This is optional. (Please note: very smooth or slippery items may be difficult to secure.)
– Something to contribute to our shared altar (autumnal items, flowers, photos, symbols of gratitude, etc.)
– A dish to share for lunch (no pressure for this to be homemade, clearly label ingredients.)
– Comfortable items (blankets, cushions, mats) to support you during meditation and rest.
– Clothes pegs : I will have some spare sets of these but please do bring some pegs. You may need up to 32 pegs. These come home with you to secure the hide as it dries around the drum frame.
Additional details:
– All drum and beater making materials are provided (except stick for beater & pegs)
– Teas, coffees, and chocolate will be available and provided
– Kitchen and fridge access on site
– Free street parking and an accessible parking space is available
– Please inform Sam of any dietary requirements or allergies
