We will start the day at 10am. Feel free to drop in anytime between 10am and 3pm. Sessions at our Community Tree Nursery are relaxed and offer a break from daily demands of everyday life.

We are located in Fagnall Farm Barns. Drive past the farm buildings on your right (including Form Pilates and FEC Helicopters) and a long beige barn on your left.... drive through the open gate where you will see another open-sided long barn on your left. The Task:

Sorting out seeds for growing native trees to plant out throughout the Chilterns.

New faces are always welcome and no experience is necessary. A perfect way to escape the hustle and bustle of everyday life.

Timings (please note these timings are approximate):

10.00: Arrival for safety briefing and start work

11.30: Tea & coffee break

13.00: Lunch break - please bring your own

15.30: Home time, thanks so much for your support

Access: The tree nursery is on flat ground and has good accessibility for all. A toilet is also available for use on site.

What to bring:

Please bring your gloves (we will have spares) and dress for the weather and the task.

Long trousers are advisable as there may be ticks and thorny vegetation. We also recommend wearing steel toe capped or sturdy boots rather than trainers.

Wear layers that you can remove if you get hot whilst working. Bring a waterproof as most of our sites have no shelter from the rain. If it's a sunny day you may want to bring a hat and some suncream.

Please bring plenty of fluids and a packed lunch. We will bring a tea kit and biscuits.

Please note:

Biscuits are served at all Chiltern Rangers sessions. Please advise if you have an allergy.

Sometimes there is a need for us to use power tools that can be noisy.
