Stories Matter Film Club is a monthly gathering for people who want to watch brilliant films and talk about them properly — the story, the craft, and the questions underneath.

You watch the film at home in your own time. Then we meet on the third Thursday of the month, over drinks, for a real conversation about what we saw.

October's film is CODA. Ruby is the only hearing person in her deaf family, and the one they rely on to speak for them — until she discovers she can sing. It won three Oscars, including Best Picture.

Doors from 7pm, we start talking at 7.15, and finish at 9. The Skylight Room at The Beech House, Beaconsfield — just ask at the bar when you arrive.
