Join us to learn more about the research behind our latest exhibitions in the Mezzanine and Atrium galleries and view the exhibitions.

At 3pm in the Create Lab (BHG/03) of the Barbara Hepworth Building, join Professor Nic Clear, Dr Yun Gao, Dr Danilo Di Mascio and Associate Professor Anette Kreutzberg (The Royal Danish Academy) to learn more about their exhibitions (Re)Use (Atrium Gallery) and Collaborative investigation of the relationships between architecture and narrative in the new H.C. Andersen Museum in Odense (Denmark) (Mezzanine).

Following the presentations, take a look around the exhibitions with the academics involved to get further insight into the research and processes behind these projects.

Refreshments will be provided.

(Re)Use (Professsor Nic Clear, Dr Yun Gao), exhibited in the Atrium, gathers together recent projects that look at how we can reuse, adapt and re-imagine materials and ideas in the built environment through both actual and speculative projects.

Collaborative investigation of the relationships between architecture and narrative in the new H.C. Andersen Museum in Odense (Denmark) (Dr Danilo Di Mascio, Associate Professor Anette Kreutzberg) exhbited in the Mezzanine showcases work from an ongoing research project. The project’s main aim is to investigate the relationships between architecture and narrative in the new Hans Christian Andersen Museum. The building is located in Odense (Denmark), the writer’s birthplace, and it was designed by the Japanese architecture office Kengo Kuma & Associates.
