Bried Description of the Hike
A great opportunity to visit the lovely village of Holme and to see the fabulous exhibition - Common Ground (s) consisting of 7 artists showing their work at Empty_Space Gallery. The work has a focus on climate & sustainability and engages with the landscape, place, materials and enviroment through a diverse rage of approaches.
We will take a walk from the village, on the Kirklees Way towards and across Digley Reservoir then up to Greaves Head. We cross over Good Bent Moor and take a leisurley yomp back to Holme and refeshment at The Fleece Inn for those who fancy.
What to wear:
Its Autumn, so please be prepared, we hope for good weather however it could be unsettled. Please bring waterproofs, and warm clothes, hats, gloves etc. Sturdy footwear is essential. If you are responsible for others, please ensure that they are suitably dressed.
Well behaved dogs are welcome as long as they are kept on leads at all times
What to bring:
Please bring a packed lunch & refreshments, water and money, and art material if you want too.
Please note: You will be solely responsible for your own safety and transport arrangements. We accept no responsibility for any loss, injury or illness as a result of joining the hike. Robin is trained in first aid and will carry a first aid kit.
