About this event
What would happen if your business suffered a cyber attack tomorrow?
Would you know how to respond, who to contact, how to recover your systems, or whether your insurance would cover the damage?
Cyber Crime: Before, During & After an Attack is a practical session for business owners and decision-makers who want to better understand the cyber threats facing their organisation and, more importantly, what they can do about them.
Rather than looking at cyber security purely as an IT problem, we'll explore a cyber incident from three different perspectives:
West Yorkshire Police: the threats businesses are facing, how cyber criminals operate, what to do when an incident occurs and when to involve the Police.
On IT: the technology and security measures that can help prevent an attack, what happens technically during an incident and how systems and data are recovered.
Decello: cyber insurance, business risk, financial impact and what happens from an insurance perspective when a business suffers an attack.
Each stage of a cyber attack will include perspectives from the Police, IT and Insurance, giving you a joined-up view of what a real cyber incident can involve.
What to expect
Practical advice for business owners
Real-world insight into modern cyber threats
Guidance on preparing for and responding to an incident
An understanding of where cyber insurance fits
A joint Q&A with the speakers
Networking with other local businesses before and after the session
Description supplied by the event organiser.
