The Antisocial Book Club: For people who love books (and their own space!)

Welcome to the Antisocial Book Club! The perfect gathering for introverted extroverts, social introverts, or anyone who just needs a break from socialising, an excuse to read or a reason to get out of the house! Here’s how it works:

7:00–7:30 PM: Arrival and (optional) chit-chat. Grab a cozy spot, a glass of something, and exchange a polite "hello" (or not—your call).

7:30–8:30 PM: Quiet reading in blissful antisocial silence. Bring your book and lose yourself in the pages.

8:30 PM onwards: Post-reading nattering. Chat about anything from life to your favourite flavour of crisps—or simply say “goodnight” and head home feeling accomplished.

Hosted downstairs at Bottle and Co. in Denby Dale there are plenty of drinks (alcoholic, non-alcoholic and soft drinks) as well as nibbles

It’s the perfect excuse to leave the house, meet new people...and not have to talk to them (until you’re ready). A haven for those who crave connection, just on their own terms. Bring a book, bring a friend, or just bring yourself.
