Like picture-goers of the thirties and forties we invite you to escape into the world of cinema’s golden age as we explore sensational styles as well as stories from behind the camera, before revealing our own show-stopping transformation…

From the creators of Woman in Gold and Divine Deco, HALFWAY TO HOLLYWOOD is a spectacular two-person presentation delivered by Lucy Adlington and costumier Meridith Towne.

Kate Ireland presents Making Bias Easy, a technical exploration of bias cut garments which demystifies how to cut, construct and finish when working with fabric on the cross grain.

Kate is a professional costume maker and workshop leader. A graduate of the London College of Fashion, she has worked on high-end Theatre and TV productions for over 20 years, and has 5 years’ experience making luxury bias cut bridal gowns. Previous credits include The Royal Opera, Sheffield Theatres, BBC, Bristol Costume Services, The University of Huddersfield, CITV and many more.
