This is an opportunity for colleagues to observe high-quality fluency teaching, explore strategies that build number sense and confidence.

Join Trinity Academy Akroydon for a free KS2 Maths Fluency Open Morning and see effective classroom practice in action.

This event offers colleagues the opportunity to observe high-quality fluency teaching and explore how carefully planned routines, modelling and practice can help pupils develop strong number sense, confidence and automaticity across Key Stage 2. Visitors will see how fluency is built through purposeful teaching, consistent approaches and opportunities for pupils to rehearse, reason and explain their mathematical thinking.

The morning will also provide time to discuss strategies that support pupils to recall key facts efficiently, make connections between concepts and approach mathematics with greater independence. Colleagues will have the chance to see lessons, reflect on the impact of fluency-focused teaching and consider how these approaches could be adapted within their own settings.

This free event is ideal for primary leaders, maths subject leaders, Key Stage 2 teachers and colleagues interested in strengthening pupils’ confidence, accuracy and flexibility in mathematics.

Attendees will leave with practical ideas, useful prompts for professional discussion and examples of effective practice that can support the development of maths teaching across their school.
