Assist Mersey Rivers Trust in collecting important data from water samples on the upper reaches of the river Tame.

A RiverBlitz is an event where we get together and test our river water to see what kind of state a particular stretch of river is in at a given time. We will be testing the water for things such as pH, phosphate, ammonia, conductivity and coliform content amongst other parameters. The data gathered is important for monitoring purposes and it allows us to see what state the river is in with reference to policy guidelines set out by the environment agency. We can also identify areas that require our attention, as well as areas of the river that are functioning as they should be.
