Early Bods is a sensory learning programme at Humber Street Gallery for 0-5 year olds.
Sculptural Play
During these sessions, we will play with sculptural materials and processes such as squishing, ripping, cutting, sticking, tying and threading, creating sculptural objects and exploring process.
Painty Play
In these sessions, we will explore painting and drawing processes, using bodies and brushes, making marks, turning scribbles into creatures and painting our sculptures from the Sculptural Play sessions!
Moving Drawing
During the Moving Drawing sessions, we will be working with ink to draw and paint in monochrome, using line, texture and pattern. We will create a large drawing together that we can play with, made up of many pieces that stick to a wall hanging using velcro so the drawing can be moved and changed. We can play with composition as well as using drawing and collaboration skills!
All of the sessions will be suitable for ages 0-5 with parent supervision, and there will be opportunity for parents and carers to explore their own creativity alongside their children. We recommend wearing clothes you don't mind getting messy!
1 ticket per child attending. No tickets required for accompanying adults.
