Hip Hip Hooray it's Hornsea is a trail run held on 5 September 2026 at Hornsea in East Yorkshire near Hull. Entry costs between £27 and £42. Participants can run along the coastline and purchase refreshments nearby.
We all love to be beside the seaside so why not enjoy a trail run from the coast at Hornsea in East Yorkshire. You can grab yourself fish and chips and an ice cream from the front after the race.
This race follows an out and back route along the scenic Trans Pennine Trail with a variety of distances to choose from.

Terrain: Good Trail
Feed/drink stations every 3 miles
Marshalled and signed course.
Toilets available in Leisure Centre
Bespoke medal and lots of treats for all finishers.
A day out at the seaside.

Car sharing is a great idea.
Distances and times:
Registration Opens from 7.30 am – please allow yourself 1 hour to park, register and use the loos.
Our races are licenced from the Trail Running Association under UKA rules
10k 10:00 start)
10 Miler (9:30 start)
20 Miler (8:30 start)
Half Marathon (09:00 start)
Marathon (2 x ½ marathon) (8:30 start)
During the race and important things to note:
We try to be cup-less: Our feed stations are normally around every three miles and offer drinks and a range of food but please bring your own re-usable cup or bottle.
Headphones: Most of our courses are off road but we still prefer you not to wear earphones and due to oncourse incidents, we have taken the decision to ask you not to wear large over ear headphones. These block out any other sounds and don't allow runners to hear marshals, vehicles or other users of the route. If you do need to wear earphones, then please use bone conducting earphones or "one in one out" in ear pieces. Please note, there may will be unmarshalled road crossings.
Transfers/Deferrals: You can self-serve your transfer or deferral either on our website, this need to be done 1 week prior to the event
