About This Event

Join Dan and Neil for a walk and talk about the archaeology and history of wind power in Orkney.

Join Dan and Neil for a walk and talk about and around the archaeology and history of Wind Power in Orkney. This will take you from the top of Burgar Hill to the top of Costa Hill and back again. Although some this will be by vehicle, there is a reasonably strenuous walk from the base of Costa Hill and back down. Meet at the Visitor Centre at the Burgar Hill Wind Farm.

This is a free event but booking is essential so transport between Burgar Hill and Costa Hill can be arranged by UHI. Once out of the Visitor Centre you will be outdoors with no shelter so wear weather appropriate clothing and be prepared to walk on some rough ground. All welcome, including well behaved dogs on leads.
