Inverness Piping Society welcomes Angus MacPhee for the first recital of the winter, on 6th November at Inverness Golf Club

Angus grew up surrounded by piping, with both of his parents playing, which provided a strong foundation as he learned the chanter and pipes. After a few years, he began studying with Iain MacFadyen and has continued under his guidance for the past 13 years.

Based in Inverness, he works as a schools piping instructor in the Dornoch area. He has consistently featured in the prize lists of the major competions in recent years, winning the 2026 Dunvegan Medal and the Glass Chanter in 3 consecutive years. The latter will presented for 2026 on the night, this year by Sir Patrick Grant.
