Your favourite pagan electronic dance party is back.

There’s something a little strange about dancing to experimental electronic music in the back room of the Home Rule Club.

And honestly? We love it.

There’s the pints at the bar. The fire is lit. The sound of the trad session drifting through from the front bar. The feeling of comfort that all our favourite locals have.

And then, somewhere down the corridor, the lights go down, the speakers go up and the back room becomes something completely different.

For one night, the Home Rule Club becomes a little techno bunker. A place where traditional Irish pub culture collides with weird sounds, heavy bass, sweaty dance floors and people getting absolutely lost in the music.

That’s CULT.

We’re back on the 24th of September to celebrate the autumn equinox — marking the shift towards winter and the beginning of those darker evenings. What better way to welcome the change of season than with another night of music, boogies and smoking-area chats? We’ll be bringing two of our amazing Kilkenny talents to the decks, with MELISSA kicking things off and Aisling Zita closing out the night with plenty of bass, beats and something a little bit different to your usual Thursday eve. As the days get shorter and the nights get darker, come gather with us and make a bit of a night of it.

So make the most of your Thursday night, use those work-from-home days on Friday, stick to the 0.0s, or do whatever you need to get yourself in the mood to gather, connect and celebrate through music. The long days are coming to an end and the long nights are rolling in — and sure, we think we like the long nights better anyway.
