The sea dipping family event at NWT Holme Dunes in Kings Lynn on 28 August 2026 involves staff entering the North Sea to collect marine creatures for attendees to view. Tickets cost between £4.67 and £5.73.
No need for swimming costumes, we will be the ones getting wet to bring you fascinating creatures from the North Sea!
One of our wildlife team will be plunging for prawns and dunking for dabs, as they take our enormous dipping net into the sea. You will take part in different activities as we make our way through the different habitats of the seashore and head towards the sea to discover what treasures have been found.
Please note that this is a children's event and each family group must have at least one adult attending. Adults do not need to book a ticket.
We will meet at the visitor centre.
For any events taking place during the summer holidays, please book a timed car parking ticket per car, once they become available on Eventbrite. NWT members and Blue Badge Holders park for free but still need to book a space; please bring your membership card and e-ticket to show on arrival. Non-members will need to pay for parking; please bring your e-ticket to show on arrival.
If you have any questions about parking, please contact the visitor centre on 01485 525240, which is open daily between 10am and 5pm.
