Bats in The Attic 2026 Bats in The Attic is a trad goth / post-punk / darkwave music festival which takes place in the UK. The festival is celebrating its 5th instalment in 2026 and has so far featured live music from bands originating from across the UK, Europe, and the Americas. We have 12 great bands over 2 days of our boutique, curated international indoor festival, together with resident DJ Victor Helsing (Resurrection’s Hell’n’Back Club), keeping the atmosphere alive between and after the live acts. We pride ourselves on being a welcoming, safe-space event, where the focus is on: 🖤 Community🖤 Discovery🖤 Authentic trad goth culture Friday Bands: Long Night – Our Friday night headliners are making a welcome return the Alhambra having played CorrosionFest in 2022. They are a Norwegian goth rock band known for their melancholic, melodic sound and emotionally driven songwriting. They have built a strong international following and are a perfect fit for the Bats atmosphere. The House of Usher – A long-standing German gothic rock band with a rich history in the scene, blending classic goth textures with modern sensibilities and recent material. Liminal Project – A UK-based project delivering atmospheric darkwave tinged post-punk with a cinematic edge. Silentways – An Italian post-punk act combining driving rhythms with moody, introspective tones, continuing the strong European presence. SATURDAY BANDS: Merciful Nuns – Our Saturday night headliners, Merciful Nuns are one of the most respected names in modern goth rock. Known for their powerful, dark sound and dedicated following, this is a rare and special UK appearance. Christine Plays Viola – An Italian band blending gothic rock with  darkwave and post-punk influences, known for their polished sound and strong live performances. Last Dusk – Returning to Bats, Last Dusk bring their distinctive gothic rock sound from Costa Rica, adding a global edge to the lineup. The Waning Moon – A darkwave project spanning Costa Rica and the USA, delivering atmospheric, synth-driven soundscapes. Deadlight Dance – A Wiltshire-based gothic rock duo combining atmospheric post-punk, dark synth textures and powerful vocals with the spirit of classic 80s gothic rock. Schrödinger – A darkwave/post-punk act from Mexico, adding another international flavour with a distinct sonic identity. Berenika – A project rooted in Eastern Europe, blending darkwave and post-punk influences with a unique vocal and atmospheric approach. The Velvet Dead – A young UK band delivering classic goth energy with a contemporary edge.
