Immersive Reading: The Witching Hour –7pm-9pm
Come in, get comfortable and settle down for a rather spooky evening in the bookshop.
From 7pm, there’ll be time to chat, browse and find your reading spot. Bring your own spooky book from home, or choose to buy something from our specially selected spooky display shelf when you arrive.
Tea, coffee and hot chocolate will be available to buy throughout the evening, or you’re very welcome to bring your own drink. Feel free to bring a snack too.
At 8pm, put your own book down for a while and join us for a spooky reading.
Then, from 8.30pm, the bookshop goes quiet.
For the final half hour, we’ll settle into silent reading together — no conversation, no phones, just you, your book and a bookshop after dark.
Come alone or come with someone. There’s no need to know anyone and absolutely no pressure to socialise beyond what feels comfortable.
Just bring a book, find a cosy corner and spend an autumn evening reading with us.
