Wedding Band Making Experience With Afternoon Tea & Open Bar

We offer couples the chance to design and make from scratch their own wedding bands. You learn ancient jewellery techniques and we guide our brides and grooms to make something extremely unique and personal to them.

You don’t need to be ‘creative’ or know what you want. We start the day with a practice session where there is no pressure. You will be with myself on the day and we will give you as much help as you need. There will be examples of what past students have made, so lots of ideas. It’s a really flexible technique you will be working with so if you want plain simple bands or more contemporary ones it’s all achievable. You will make your rings out of wax ready for casting in metal. The casting will take place after your day has finished.

It’s a fantastic day and our courses have always exceeded our clients expectations and their feedback is extremely positive. Their happiness at their achievements creates even more excitement for their wedding day.

We have a maximum of 3 couples on one day and you are offered hospitality from the moment you step through the door. Lunch is an English afternoon tea and we always finished the day with a glass or two of fizz or beer.

Your rings will be made in sterling silver which is included in the cost of the day. We do offer a precious metal upgrade service where you will have the choice of 9ct 14ct & 18ct yellow rose or white gold and platinum. We will weigh the waxes at the end of the day and give you the price differences. You don’t have to make the decision as to whether you want to upgrade until this time.

You can make your wedding bands at anytime in your wedding planning process. Your finger sizes won’t change unless you are planning on losing a lot of weight. We will need a minimum of 8 weeks prier to your wedding date to allow for casting of the rings and any extras such as engraving, stone setting and platting.
