We are thrilled to have Christopher Ruocchio joining us in Leeds on the 24th of September at 7pm to talk about Shadows Upon Time, the thrilling finale to his epic space opera series. Christopher will be in conversation with Philip C. Quaintrell.
Shadows Upon Time is the seventh and final novel of the galaxy-spanning series merges the best of space opera and epic fantasy, as Hadrian Marlowe at last lights the greatest fire humanity has ever seen.
Christopher Ruocchio is the internationally award-winning author of The Sun Eater, a space opera fantasy series, and the former Junior Editor at Baen Books, where he edited several anthologies. His work has also appeared in Marvel comics. He is a graduate of North Carolina State University, where he studied English Rhetoric and the Classics. Christopher has been writing since he was eight and sold his first novel, Empire of Silence, at twenty-two. His books have appeared in five languages. Christopher lives in Raleigh, North Carolina with his wife, Jenna.
Philip C. Quaintrell is the bestselling independent author of the A Time of Dragons series, as well as The Echoes Saga. Once There Were Heroes, the first book in the A Time of Dragons series, will be republished by The Broken Binding Publishing in February 2027. A Time of Dragons is the prequel series to Philip C. Quaintrell’s bestselling The Echoes Saga. It tells the story of war, of the building blocks that form the foundation of the world of Verda. Through this new saga, the history of magic, dragons and gods will be brought into the light.Quaintrell’s series The Echoes Saga has sold over one million copies worldwide, and has an option agreement for a potential TV series in the pipeline. Quaintrell has sold over 2 million copies of his books in total.
This event will consist of 45 minutes of conversation between Christopher and Philip, followed by 15 minutes of audience questions and then a signing.
