A synth backed alt-rock band with electric guitars and real violin. Their cathartic music is equal parts sorrow and dance, mashing gritty basslines with traditional folk and orchestral elements, with lyrics evocate of 1990s emo. Fresh from the release of EP 'Dirty Meat', Threat Detector turn basements into churches and scream out to the heavens.

The band itself has changed a lot since they first started gigging in Leeds, now with a new bassist, the sounds of Triangle X has changed too, heavier, more complex rhythms, and it seems like the band are having more fun with the stage. Definitely worth checking out if you’re into 80s-90s punk and metal, and the 2000s indie and rock.

A queer-fronted band from Leeds who play emo music for fun. They come as a collective from different musical backgrounds to produce songs about love and heartbreak. They one day hope to group-purchase a cajon.
