About This Event

Catalyst Event: Funding, Banking & Business Support Explained will take place at 2 Whitehall Quay in Leeds on 10 November 2026 at 13:00. This free session is designed to assist entrepreneurs in understanding funding and business support options.

Practical and informative session is designed to help entrepreneurs better understand the funding and business support options available.

Many founders know that funding is important for growth, but fewer are aware of the wide range of tools, support, and resources available to help them manage cashflow, improve financial resilience, and accelerate growth.

This practical and informative session is designed to help entrepreneurs better understand the funding, banking, and business support options available through NatWest and the wider entrepreneurial ecosystem. Rather than focusing on specific products, the session will provide an impartial overview of the different routes available to support businesses at varying stages of growth.

The session will feature insights from Charlie McWha, Business Development Manager at NatWest, who will help demystify the funding landscape and explain how founders can access relevant support based on their business goals and circumstances.

We are delighted to also be joined by Ed Hunt - Business Delivery Lead for Mettle Banking. Find out more about Mettle - Mettle information (https://mettle.app.link/c8Mch6wGk2b)

Attendees will gain an understanding of topics including:

Funding options available for start-ups and growing businesses.

Debt finance, business lending and asset finance.

Cashflow management tools and financial planning support.

Business banking solutions and when they may be appropriate.

The benefits of tools including FreeAgent and Mettle.

Additional specialist support available through the wider NatWest ecosystem.

Resources, programmes and initiatives designed to help founders start, grow and scale their businesses.

Drawing on elements from the NatWest Funding Accelerator, the session will also explore how businesses can become more funding ready, improve financial confidence, and understand which funding routes may be most appropriate for different growth ambitions.

Attendees will leave with a clearer picture of the support available to them, practical next steps to strengthen their business finances, and greater confidence when considering future funding opportunities.

Key takeaway: Understanding the full range of funding, banking and business support options available can help founders make informed decisions, improve financial resilience, and fund growth in a way that works for their business.
