Celebrate the launch of a local indie comic with a free pop punk/emo cover gig (eg paramore and fall out boy!)

CONTEXT

I originally concepted Caught In The Middle as part of my MA, intending to pitch it for publishing. I quickly began to love the story and the characters more than I expected and decided to self-publish it instead.

SYNOPSIS

John Fletcher is nobody. He’s the boy in the back of art class everyone forgets is there. He’s practically a living ghost, even his parents barely seem to see him. That is until all those feelings bubble up and manifest into a twisted transformation of vampiric terror, allowing him to spend his nights tearing the city apart and basking in the attention and public eye.

EVENT

The launch party will consist of two 45 minute sets of live covers from alt bands such as paramore and fall out boy, to match the 00s grungy vibe of the comic, performed by an indie band; 11th Hour View. There will be a march table for both the band and the comic itself (which is currently crowdfunding on Kickstarter until October 7th, https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/mythicalstyx/caught-in-the-middle-graphic-novel ).

Support a local queer comics illustrator and indie band just by coming to say hi! Whether you come for the comic or just the music, the more the merrier!
