The source is Kimiko Steiner, Under Secretary for Energy and the Environment of the last US Federal Government. “Mariner 51” her secret service detail and officials from the Environmental Protection Agency have been stranded in the mountains since their flight from Seattle to Chicago was forced into an emergency landing during the events of the Night of the Ochre Rain.* *Hunted by the strange beings known as the “Hosted,” Lantern Bellies and worse a pack of Hounds of the Sea Within, the Lucky 13 and the other survivors must escape the mountain back to the Salmon River Valley.* *“Mariner 51” promises a solution to the climatic chaos which has followed the Night of the Ochre Rain.* *In the heavens a lone Russian cosmonaut aboard the wounded ISS, holds valuable data on the events leading up to the Night of Ochre Rain, the night itself and all the days since.
