Fanfare Ciocarlia, the Romanian brass band famed for its ferocious live shows, will bring its carnivalesque sound to The Warehouse in Leeds on Friday 9 October 2026, with doors opening at 6.30pm. This twelve-piece ensemble, rooted in the Romani traditions of northeastern Romania, fuses rapid Balkan rhythms with jazz, klezmer and folk melodies to produce a dense, swirling wall of sound. Their music, frequently performed at breakneck tempos, is propelled by virtuosic trumpet, clarinet and saxophone lines atop a pounding drum and tuba foundation. The Warehouse’s high ceilings and concrete floors are set to magnify the band’s raw, unpolished energy, transforming the room into a sweaty, reverberant space. Ticket prices are available on the venue’s website.
