About This Event

A live outdoor performance by Speak Woman Speak Come and listen to the dreams of neighbours in this intimate, one-off outdoor performance from Speak Woman Speak. Created from real stories and conversations with local people, Garden Tales explores our hopes for ourselves, our children, our communities and the planet. Through verbatim theatre, personal stories are woven together into a shared vision of what a better future might look like. Performed in the garden itself, this is an opportunity to pause, listen, imagine and dream together - surrounded by nature. Tickets are Pay What You Can, just 10 places available. Donations welcome. 📍 St Marys Rooftop Garden St. Mary's Court Flats, St. Mary's Road Just off Chapeltown Road Chapeltown, Leeds, LS7 3SB Garden Tales is a community-led project developed with Live Well Leeds and Hyde Park Source, funded by Leeds City Council and West Yorkshire Combined Authority through Seasons of Culture 2026. Access Unfortunately, there is no level access or ramp to the rooftop garden. Everyone attending must use the steps to access the garden where the performance takes place and be comfortable walking around the space. This is an outdoor performance and audiences will need to stand throughout. Outdoor Performance Please dress appropriately for the weather to stay warm and dry. Filming We will take photographs and film throughout the performance. These will be used by Speak Woman Speak online to promote our work. Please notify a member of the team if you do not wish to be photographed or filmed.
