This year's playscheme at Meanwood Valley Urban Farm, for children aged 8 to 11 years old is now LIVE! It will run from 9.30am until 2.30pm Monday to Friday. We do not accept responsibility for children outside of these times.

Places are limited so complete your booking ASAP to avoid disappointment, and ensure you return the joining instructions that will be sent via email before 20th July!

Our week:

Monday morning starts with a farm challenge, exploring the site and seeing the animals. It also brings back the boat race that children ask for every year along with water play activites. (Please bring a change of clothes).

Tuesday is the annual Sugar Well Hill Race morning. Trophies for the boy's and girl's winners will be given, as well as medals for participants and winners of each age group. The afternoon will be a fun multi-skills event.

Wednesday is Survival day, where the children will get chance to make dens, learn how to safetly light fires, and learn some bushcraft skills. The afterrnoon will include the annual Zombie invasion, full of fun and games! (Old clothes are best for this activity)

Thursday is our nature day, where we are welcoming our local Bee Keeper Kate, who will be bringing her bees for us to see, as well as a chance to taste their honey. We'll also have mini beast hunting, before an afternoon spent with Amy our farmer, looking after the animals on the farm.

Friday is Space day! They'll be astronuat training activites and rocket making, as well as time for an alien invasion! We'll end the day with a celebration of the week, and prizes.

Stockheld park, Build a Bear and Lazer Quest have already donated prizes for this years green card winners. Green cards are given to children throughout the week to reward helpful and compassionate behaviour, as well as hard work.

We are Ofsted registered and all our staff are DBS checked, and have safe guarding training. Activities are all risk assessed for safety, and there are first aiders on site if required.
