Join us at Fairmead Farm for a 60-minute sauna and cold plunge session, followed by a proper supper in our cosy rustic barn.

Start with the heat of The Robin, our wood-fired Nordic sauna, handcrafted from a converted horsebox by Northern Ember. Enjoy the heat, take a dip in the cold plunge and repeat as you like.

Then, once you're feeling refreshed and ready to eat, head into our rustic barn, where we'll sit down around our long tables for a freshly prepared supper, good conversation and good company. It's a relaxed, sociable way to finish your sauna experience.

Saturday 31st October – Beettroot, Blackpudding & Goats Cheese Stack

Crispy potato rösti, roasted beetroot, black pudding, whipped goat's cheese, crispy chorizo, rocket and balsamic glaze.

Saturday 14th November – Tikka-Spiced Salmon

Tikka-spiced salmon fillet, flame kissed and laid on warm naan with crisp fresh salad, a squeeze of lime, sweet mango chutney and cool mint yoghurt, bold, vibrant and full of fresh, feel-good flavour.

Sunday 15th November – Sunday Roast Sauna Supper Club

Slow-braised beef served in a Yorkshire pudding, with crispy roast potatoes, honey-glazed carrots and parsnips, and rich gravy.

Saturday 28th November – Wood-Fired Pizza Night 🍕

Proper Italian-style pizzas, freshly cooked in our wood-fired pizza oven. Choose from classic Margherita, pepperoni or spicy pepperoni finished with hot honey.

Getting Here

Access Fairmead Farm via Pool Bank New Road. As you come down the hill, look out for the farm track on your left. The entrance is on a corner, so please take it slowly.

What to Bring

Bring swimwear, two towels (one to sit on and one to dry off), and a bottle of water.

This is an outdoor experience on a working farm, so please wear suitable footwear and dress for the weather.

If you are making a booking on behalf of a group, it is your responsibility to ensure that all participants are aware of and adhere, agree to the guidelines outlined below.

GENERAL TERMS & SAFETY GUIDELINES

• All sauna users participate at their own risk.

• Our sauna is located in a natural environment, where surfaces may be wet and uneven. Please take extra care when walking around the area.

• Minimum age for sauna use is 16 years. Anyone under 18 must be accompanied by a responsible adult.

• No alcohol, smoking, vaping, drugs, or nudity is permitted within the sauna or surrounding areas.

• Northern Ember reserves the right to refuse entry to anyone who is intoxicated or poses a risk to themselves or others. No refunds will be provided in such cases.

• The wood-fired stove is operated exclusively by staff—at no time should guests touch, adjust, or add logs to the fire. Please speak to the sauna operator if adjustments are needed.

• You must not use the sauna if you have certain medical conditions (see details below). HEALTH & MEDICAL CONSIDERATIONS Sauna use affects body temperature, circulation, and hydration. Please ensure you are fit and healthy before participating. You should not use the sauna if: • You have high or low blood pressure, heart or circulatory conditions, epilepsy, or diabetes. • You are pregnant. • You have a medical condition that affects your ability to regulate body temperature. • You are feeling unwell, lightheaded, or faint. • You have had a recent heart attack, stroke, or major surgery. • You are under the influence of alcohol, drugs, or medication that affects your physical or mental state.

If you have any concerns about your health, pre-existing conditions, or medical implants (e.g., metal pins, rods, artificial joints, silicone implants), you should consult your GP before using the sauna.

COLD WATER SAFETY • All users of the cold water do so at their own risk.

• If you have any health concerns, consult a doctor before using the cold water.

• Be mindful of the risk of cold shock, enter gradually and listen to your body.

• Be aware that surfaces may be wet and slippery.
