**St Mary’s Church, Whitkirk, Leeds LS15 0AA** **Concert: 4.30pm–approximately 6.00pm** **[Tickets: £10.48](https://www.ticketsource.com/booking/select/pepzdarblzbe)** Discover the rich, uplifting power of live choral music with **St Peter’s Singers** in the historic setting of St Mary’s Church, Whitkirk. Perfect for both long-time classical music enthusiasts and anyone curious to experience choral music for the first time, *My Spirit Sang All Day* brings together a beautiful programme of **a cappella secular and sacred music** from the English and German Romantic traditions. The programme includes the warmth of **Vaughan Williams’ *Linden Lea*** and the exquisite stillness of **Stanford’s *The Blue Bird***, alongside the richer Romantic sound-world of **Brahms** and the deeply moving music of **Hubert Parry**, including his *Songs of Farewell*. Music by **Bruckner** and **Déodat de Séverac** adds a more reflective and devotional dimension. Whether you already love choral music or have never been to a concert like this before, this should be a wonderfully accessible opportunity to hear beautiful unaccompanied singing performed live. The concert begins at **4.30pm** and lasts approximately **90 minutes**, including a short interval when refreshments will be served. **If you are also joining our Temple Newsam event earlier in the day, we will finish there at around 2.30pm and make our way over to Whitkirk with plenty of time before the concert. You are equally welcome to join us just for this event.**
