About This Event

The event will explore the mysterious deaths of Howard and Bea Ainsworth and Donald and Auriel Ward, both concluded as murder-suicides. Participants will examine the evidence and discuss the possibility of a common perpetrator. The discussion is free to attend, with an expectation to purchase a drink from the venue.

In 1996, elderly couple Howard and Bea Ainsworth were found dead in their bedroom in Cheshire. Police concluded that Howard had murdered his wife before taking his own life. Three years later, just a few streets away, Donald and Auriel Ward were also found dead in their bedroom. Once again, the conclusion was murder-suicide. But the similarities between the two scenes have since raised questions. Could both couples have been victims of the same killer? At this discussion, we'll examine the evidence and look at what supports the original conclusions and what has led others to challenge them. There's no definitive answer, which makes it a fascinating case to debate. To familiarise yourself with the case, watch ITV's *Hunting the Silver Killer* documentary. FREE to attend; however, there is an expectation to buy a drink from the venue when attending.
