After three fantastic and packed monthly VIVA SALSA vinyl salsa & Latin music parties at HAR Bar Leeds (Howard Assembly Room) – July, August, September – the next one is on Friday 30th October. Same time – 7pm to 11pm. Once again hosted by Leeds salsa/Latin music legend DJ Lubi (Sabor y Salsa/Calle Ocho Leeds), and featuring classic salsa/mambo/Cuban records from his extensive collection. And as always, IT’S FREE ENTRY. This is the last one of 2026. DJ Lubi will be playing all his favorite music again on vinyl all night long – salsa, son Cubano, mambo, charanga, merengue, Latin bugalu, cha cha cha, and a few bachatas. The first three have been great. Like a DJ Lubi salsa house party but you don’t need to bring a bottle. When diners finish, staff start carrying the tables out to make some dancefloor space. There’s just 3 small speakers set up, alongside the turntables and DJ mixer, and now and then, someone knocks the record and it skips. Just like all the best house parties 🙂
