Welcome to Wax & Wander — the candle making workshop at The Art Studio by The Girly Scene, one of Leeds’ most unique creative spaces right in the heart of LS6.

No experience needed. No pressure. Just show up, grab something from Caffeine Addict — our in-house café — and spend a relaxed, creative session crafting your own beautifully scented candle from scratch. Whether you’re after a different kind of date night in Leeds, a girls’ afternoon out, a solo treat or simply one of the most satisfying activities Leeds has to offer — Wax & Wander is it.

Please note: You may end up either learning 1:1 or in a group depending on how many others book on and for which location. Sometimes other people booked on the same day as you will opt for a private booking, which means you may end up with a private experience yourself as the other group members end up in a separate space. Also note this is NOT organised by the venue where the workshop takes place. We simply rent the space and therefore do not be alarmed if venue staff on site are unable to direct you. Our workshop facilitator will always be present.

Your booking can be private or with a group depending on how many people book on for the same time and for which location - the experience is the same in any case. If you want to guarantee a private session please inform us.

Arrive early and head straight to Caffeine Addict, our in-house café on the ground floor. We serve freshly brewed coffees, teas, cold drinks, sandwiches and salads — all non-alcoholic, all freshly made. The perfect way to gather yourself and settle in before the session begins.

📋 Good to Know:

∙ Please arrive on time, at least 5 mins before the session start time. If you arrive late, please note that we will still need to start and finish the workshop on the stated time. We will try our best to give you the best whole experience in the event of a later arrival but cannot accept responsibility for a rushed or shorter experience.

∙ Wear something you don’t mind getting a little waxy

∙ All abilities welcome — our artists are patient, encouraging and genuinely fun

∙ Unfortunately we do not have step free access at this time

∙ 14 and over: welcome to attend independently

∙Under 14: Welcome with a parent or responsible adult

∙ Under 12: welcome for private group bookings — contact us to arrange the right session

Tickets are non-refundable but fully transferable. Reschedule requests accepted up to 48 hours before your session.
