About This Event

Trad/Contemporary folk from Woody Lander, with support from Arlo Plein and George Daniels at The Arches Social, Leeds, with a session after! There will be a session in the bar at 21:30 after the gig, so bring your instruments! Woody is a Leeds based guitar and banjo player, playing trad and contemporary folk and blues, whose music brings the folk stories and legends to life, effortlessly blending the old with the new and the foreign with the familiar. He incorporates other genres into his sound and also plays originals that blend seamlessly into his set with songs hundreds of years old. Arlo and George are a new folk duo, formed at Leeds Conservatoire on the Folk course. Together they play traditional tunes and songs, as well as more contemporary tunes, featuring the ever-beautiful combo of acoustic guitar, flutes and whistles.
