Make a unique tea light house to keep or gift, in this fun festive workshop. Tutor Nikki will guide you through step-by-step how to hand build a pottery tea light house from white clay. You will be shown how to roll and slab build the house and how to strengthen the joins. You will use different shaped cutters for windows and doors to create a unique house which can be used as a tea light holder, ideal for display or a gift for Christmas. Your house will then be taken away, fired and glazed and returned to Attenborough Arts Centre for you to collect within 3 weeks. Absolutely no experience of working with clay is required. Please note: there are two workshops that are taking place on two separate dates at 10am – 2pm: 16 November 23 November About the tutor: Tutor Nikki McCathie is an experienced arts practitioner who has been delivering creative workshops for over 10 years across the county. She particularly enjoys creating unique mosaic pieces using a variety of coloured mosaic tiles, mirror tiles, cabochons and even crockery.
