Our second annual Black History Month Fest will be on the 3rd October 2026 between 12.00pm to 4.00pm on the ground floor inside the Leicester Haymarket shopping centre, 1 Kildare Walk, Leicester, LE1 3YH. BHM Fest is Leicester’s newest community event aimed at enhancing and supporting general awareness of local, national and international Black history from the African continent and Diaspora for the learning, enrichment and edification of all communities in Leicester, Leicestershire and Rutland.

Please join us as we welcome in Black history month 2026 with a unique celebration of African heritage including African centred stalls and displays; public/community speakers on African lifestyle; our pioneering ‘Afri-mation’ audio clips bringing African history to your ears; musical & dance entertainment from Leicester’s finest African heritage artists performing Soul, Reggae, Afro beats, Gospel and Hip hop etc.

In partnership with the Comfort Centre, this year’s BHM Fest will host our first annual Black child excellence awards that will celebrate the achievements and successes of young people in all of their life endeavours to become all that they can be!
