Local writer and LSS member Hamish Whiteley reads some old favourites and some new writing about a recent life shock. There will be a collection in aid of PROSTaid, a local prostate cancer charity at the event. .

Hamish Whiteley is an author, storyteller, and former educator best known for his book Growing Up With Grandma. He has a rich background as a performing arts lecturer and school teacher.

Growing Up With Grandma, published in 2019 features a collection of short stories detailing one year in the life of a nine-year-old boy living with his grandparents in Huddersfield in 1959.
