Join us for an afternoon of rock hounding and geological exploration right here in Leicester. Whether you're a seasoned collector or just curious about the stones and gems around us, this is a casual, low-pressure way to get outside and see what we can find. We'll be exploring some local spots known for interesting geological features, and if you're new to this, don't worry—we've got folks who love sharing what they know about rocks, minerals, and how to spot the good stuff. Bring comfortable shoes, a small bag or container for any finds you want to keep, and maybe a hand lens or magnifying glass if you have one (though it's not essential). We'll meet up, do a bit of exploring together, and swap stories about what we've discovered. It's a great chance to connect with other people in the community who share this interest, whether you're into the science side of it all or just enjoy the hunt. If this sounds like your kind of outing, please RSVP so we know roughly how many people to expect. See you there.
