About This Event

Join us for Pay as you Go Pottery to experiment and explore new pottery techniques at your own pace! Join us to experiment and explore new pottery techniques at your own pace! Our workshops are a great opportunity to try new things, develop your skills and express your creativity in a relaxed, friendly, studio environment. These workshops are not structured, as learners are encouraged to work on their own projects. However, an experienced potter will always be on site to offer guidance and support. These workshops are designed for learners who have already done some pottery in the past. If you are a complete beginner you might like to enrol on one of our beginners courses, you can find those here 👉 leicesteradulted.ac.uk (click on the pottery and creative glass box on the homepage) Fee: • £12 to be paid on arrival. Please note: Payment is in full and books your place for the duration of the session, regardless if you leave early or attend after the session has started. * Additional charges for materials, glazes and firing. Booking: • Please book your place via Eventbrite prior to your session and pay at the venue on arrival. • These sessions are suitable for participants aged 12+. Please note, any participants under the age of 18 will need to have a paying adult or carer attend the whole session with them. Both participants will need a separate booking form. • No more than one booking per person at a time . Individuals can book their next session for the following week the Saturday before that session. Please keep an eye out for new sessions after this one, we will post them as soon as we can. We have 2 walk-in places available. These must only be taken 30 mins prior to the start of the session and learners must remain onsite once they’ve collected. Please keep an eye out on our event pages, or on social media for when spaces become available. If you fail to attend 3 consecutive prebooked sessions, without notification to the college, we reserve the right to cancel any future bookings. • Due to the high number of no shows, going forward we will only hold your place for 30 mins after the start of the session, if you are not on site within this time the place will be released. However, if you know you are only going to attend part of the session or going to be delayed, please contact us with an expected arrival time. • If a support worker is attending the session with you, please also book a session for them. This is so we can allocate space in the studio. They will not need to pay if they are not participating. • To ensure our studio remains a productive and welcoming space for everyone, we need to keep our storage shelves flowing. Please ensure that all items are paid for and glazed within three weeks of their bisque firing. We want to avoid a situation where work is left behind, so please be aware that items remaining beyond the three-week window may unfortunately be recycled or disposed of to make space for the next round of creations.
